Ramat Hanadiv Memorial Garden

Ramat Hanadiv is translated as “Garden of the Generous One”.It is the gravesite and memorial park of Baron Edmond (Benjamin) de Rothschild. The Baron was born over 150 years ago and established over 40 settlements in the Land of Israel. During one of his many trips to Israel he hinted that he would like to be buried here. And so, when he died overseas in 1954, his body was brought to this spot.

There is a beautiful and well tended park surrounding his tomb. There is also a waterfall, a rose garden, a grove of pine trees and a fragrance garden. Enjoy the beautiful garden and stop by the information center which will give you maps and details about what to do in the area. One suggestion: Walk a short distance to the Zichron Yaakov promenade. There you can visit the old synagogue that was built by Baron Rothschild. After that, stop at one of the many cafes and restaurants that are all along the promenade.
